Mediatraffic - Update! GaGa is Nº2 in Singles and Albums! Again

After a sales-period of only two full days the 'Hope For Haiti Now' project bows atop of the global chart with impressive 192.000 copies sold (all of them are digital sales). The compilation contains mostly new interpretations of old classics, that's why it is eligible for the hitlist, according to our chart-rules (in contrast to the '2010 Grammy Nominees', which is a pure collection of current hits). No change on the following places: Lady GaGa's 'The Fame (Monster)' holds no.2 (down 2% to 174.000 copies), Susan Boyle's 'I Dreamed A Dream' stays at third (up 4% to 172.000 copies and a total of nearly 7 million after only 9 weeks!), Alicia Keys' 'The Element Of Freedom' hangs at no.4 (down 3% to 105.000) and the Black Eyed Peas' 'The E.N.D.' moves up one slot at fifth (up 6% to 103.000). Last week's chart-topper, Vampire Weekend's 'Contra' throws down to no.6 (down 56% to 91.000). After the UK-release of Justin Bieber's debut 'My World', the album is the winner of the week and jumps from no.24 to no.8 on the tally, based on a 83% sales-gain to 64.000. Beside 'Hope For Haiti Now' debuting are Girl Next Door's 'Next Future' at no.11 (56.000), Spoon's 'Transference' at no.12 (56.000), Lostprophets' 'The Betrayed' at no.23 (36.000), Motion City Soundtrack's 'My Dinosaur Life' at no.30 (28.000) and Eels' 'End Times' at no.39 (24.000).
